ALYS STUTZ WHITNEY DONATES VAN FOR FUNDRAISER

In an effort to help STOP Human Trafficking, Alys Stutz Whitney donated a custom Chevy van to the Tri-Cities Soroptimists Against Trafficking (TCSAT) Task Force. The Task Force sold it to the highest bidder and reaped $3,800. The funds will bring Deceptions Training to the Tri-Cities on Saturday, April 21, 2012 and allow for more awareness raising and coalition-building to combat trafficking, especially domestic minor sex trafficking.

Mrs. Whitney is a lifelong activist and learned about TCSAT via Senator Jerome Delvin while in the process of liquidating her assets. Because Soroptimist networks with the legislature, Washington Engage and other groups with a mission to stop trafficking, TCSAT was contacted by the Senator's office.

In a recent phone conference with Mrs. Whitney, she stated, "I love you." "I respect what you're doing." Those words from a giving, courageous, thoughtful and caring woman are inspiration to keep moving forward with our efforts.
