On October 8, at the Region Conference of the Family Career Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), SIPK members made three presentations to 68 students during their breakout workshop sessions.
The anti-bullying program, Hands & Words Are Not For Hurting, was well-received and the assemblies expressed interest in spreading the program in their communities.
One goal of the SIPK Hands & Words team is to "saturate" the the Tri-Cities with knowledge of this program and get in front of as many school-age children and school teachers as possible.
Hands and Words is a celebrated and award winning anti-bullying program. The H&W headquarters is in Salem, Oregon. For info go to www.handsproject.org or call Anne @ 888.443.6299.
